KEPCO facility contribution calculator

Estimate the contribution paid to KEPCO for an ordinary new connection or capacity increase. The calculation uses the application-date bands in Annex 4 of the 2026-08-01 supply terms, rather than an old online calculator rate. Basic contribution, new-route distance contribution and VAT are shown separately; internal building work is a different cost.

New routes only: overhead free distance 200 m; underground 50 m. Drop fractional metres after subtracting the free distance. Enter 0 when no new-route distance fee applies; do not re-enter an existing already-charged route. Measurement points must be confirmed by KEPCO.

Low-voltage increases are limited to existing contracts of at least 5 kW, without changing supply conditions. Mixed routes, conductor additions, small-contract exemptions, relocations, temporary/special supplies, internal construction and connection deposits are excluded. VAT is shown separately; this is an estimate, not a KEPCO quotation.

How to use

Select confirmed low-voltage or high/extra-high supply up to 22.9 kV, overhead/underground route and phase. High-voltage mode requires three-phase.
Enter whole-kW new or target total capacity. Ordinary low-voltage increases require an existing contract of at least 5 kW and unchanged supply conditions; smaller-contract exceptions are not modeled.
New low voltage: first 5 kW costs KRW 306,000 overhead or 588,000 underground, plus KRW 121,000 or 141,000 per extra kW. Ordinary increases apply the extra-kW rate to the increase. High voltage uses KRW 24,000 or 50,000 per new/increased kW.
For a new-route charge, enter confirmed calculation distance. Free distance is 200 m overhead or 50 m underground; sub-metre excess is discarded. Mixed routes, conductor additions, relocations, temporary/special supplies and internal work require separate assessment. VAT 10% is added.

Worked examples

New low-voltage overhead; 10 kW; no distance charge

KRW 911,000 + VAT 91,100 = 1,002,100

306,000 + (10−5) × 121,000 is the basic contribution.
